West Stafford Heritage Weekend

Discover the history of the Village Hall and the village on Saturday 15th November and Sunday 16th from 10am to 4pm. Free entry.  Refreshments available.

  • View our exhibition featuring displays, photos, newspaper cuttings and the delightful line drawings of Gerald Sweetman. The Thomas Hardy society will have an exhibition of how West Stafford features in Hardy's work.
  • The village children of today can dress up and take part in a Victorian lesson taught by East Dorset Museum at 3pm on Saturday afternoon. 
  •  On Sunday night  at 7pm we will be holding a barn dance. Tickets are £15 per person (children U16 free) and can be purchased from Gail Fenton at School Cottage (adjacent, but one, to the Wise Man) or Jim Chamberlain (Summer Place, Rectory Lane) or via gail.fenton@gmail.com or jim.chamberlain10@outlook.com respectively. There will be a bar at the Hall.
